Pipedrive-funded Good Deed Education Fund to support the education of Ukrainian refugees

New York, 8 April, 2022 - Pipedrive, the global sales-first CRM and intelligent revenue platform for small businesses signed an agreement with the Good Deed Education Fund that will invest 2 million euros in educational initiatives in Estonia over the next three years. This year one of the focus areas will be supporting the education of children fleeing the war in Ukraine.

Pipedrive has been on board with the Good Deed Education Fund since it was founded three years ago. “As we at Pipedrive strongly believe that education is fundamental to development and growth, it has been one of our main focus areas. Although relatively new, the Good Deed Education Fund has already proven to be a relevant player in the Estonian education scene, launching innovative initiatives, improving accessibility and sustainability of the education system as well as promoting STEM fields. Due to the impressive impact, transparency and professional management of this foundation, we did not have to think twice about supporting this initiative again for the next three years,” said Agur Jõgi, CTO, Pipedrive.

One of the programs initiated by the fund is the internship program for educational leaders. In three years, 28 school leaders have had the opportunity to gain management experience in top companies. Pipedrive has been taking part in this unique initiative for three years in a row. The company’s executive team members offered 5-month-long mentorships to local school leaders, introducing them to innovative management approaches and best private sector practices they can later apply in their schools.

"We are looking forward to running ambitious initiatives that aim to shake the Estonian education system in a good way and help bring it to a new level," said Pirkko Valge, CEO of the Good Deed Foundation. “We are constantly looking for solutions that would help ensure the future growth of teachers and increase the quality of school management. In the new period, however, we want to see more initiatives that help schoolchildren acquire the skills to learn. The fund is also ready to support the education of the Ukrainian war refugee children, ”added Pirkko Valge.

Over the past three years, the foundation has invested one million euros in initiatives that brought nearly 200 new teachers to Estonian schools and provided students with useful skills for later in life. A total of 15 initiatives were supported, reaching 80% of Estonian schools and involving almost 40,000 students. The Charity Education Foundation works closely with both the Ministry of Education and Research and local governments.

The Good Deed Education Fund was founded by Martin Villing (co-founder of Bolt) and Taavet Hindrikus (co-founder of Wise) and it is being supported by several tech companies and private donors.
