Pipedrive launches the SEPA Direct Debits payment method, Germany to be the first roll-out country

New York, 2 December, 2021 - Pipedrive, the sales-first CRM and intelligent revenue management platform for small businesses, today announced the launch of the SEPA Direct Debits payment method. Germany is the first country out of 25 where the new payment method will be available for customers.

The SEPA (Single Euro Payments Area) Direct Debits is one of the most preferred payment methods in Europe. By automating the transaction process, the SEPA Direct Debits is a frictionless payment solution that helps companies optimize their financial procedures and facilitates trade across the European Union. Unlike credit card payments, the SEPA Direct Debits does not need any additional layers and after authorization, payments are collected directly from the customer’s bank account. Security is one of the key advantages of the payment method as only verified companies can use it and transactions are easily identified. Once the purchase has been confirmed, the customer will be charged directly from the bank account and the merchant receives the funds.

Germany is the first roll-out country due to the high popularity of the payment method. At the end of the month, it will be available to more than 24 European countries. Pipedrive also accepts other payment methods, like credit card, debit card or valid Paypal account.
