To mark the occasion, we looked through our archives to find the story behind the numbers.

It all started in Tallinn

Pipedrive's original name was Growty

Pipedrive was founded in 2010 by Timo Rein, Urmas Purde, Ragnar Sass, Martin Henk, Martin Tajur in Tallinn, Estonia.

Pipedrive may be known the world over today, but Pipedrive’s original name was actually Growty. We think the name change was for the best!

Garage sessions

Pipedrive was built in a Garage

The early build of Pipedrive was created in a summer house.

The founders and a small group of engineers spent many late nights and weekends building the foundation of what we currently offer.

Shaq support

Shaquille O'Neal was an early investor

Basketball legend Shaquille O’Neal didn’t just crush it in the NBA. Shaq is also a successful entrepreneur off the court.

He was an early investor in Pipedrive and even filmed a video showing his support for our team in Estonia.

Pipedrive growth

Pipedrive quickly gained traction after launching going from 300 customers by the end of 2011 to nearly 7,000 by the end of 2013.

Pipedrive outgrew the garage and had nearly 50 employees, mostly based in an office in Tallinn.

Pipedrive is well known for its sales focus. And our users have certainly been busy selling.

We have had over 200 million deals added to pipelines. Of those, over 70 million were won.

Closing deals isn’t an exact science. However, it usually means having regular contact with your leads.

We have seen over 15 million leads added and 15 million calls logged. With the surge in video conferencing in recent years, we’ve also seen nearly half a million Zoom calls scheduled.

Real estate, technology and marketing are just some of the industries our users operate in.

That range of backgrounds has seen over 1 million products added in Pipedrive.

Pipedrive is used in 170+ countries including Antarctica

From starting out in Estonia, Pipedrive is now used in over 170 countries with many of our customers based in the United States.

We really mean it when we say we’re global – we’ve even had a login from Antarctica.
