In case you missed it... Pipedrive updates June 2022

ICYMI June 2022

This month, we’re happy to introduce the option to delay steps in your automated workflows. We’ve also launched our State of Sales and Marketing 2021/22 report, which contains vital insights into sales and marketing over the last year.

Set and check delay steps in your automated workflows

When using automations, there are times when you’ll want to have an automated step performed at a later time or date, as opposed to being performed immediately.

For example, you may want to send a Slack notification to a team member a day after a new deal has been allocated to them, so that they don’t immediately contact the customer.

To address this need, we’ve added new functionality to our Automations feature. This means users with access to Automations can now set delays in their workflows to separate steps over time. Once set, they can check which of the steps are executing thanks to the feature’s automation history section.

Advanced users can add three delays to each of their workflows, while Professional and Enterprise users are able to add ten. All users can have delays of up to 30 days in each workflow – meaning they could have one of 30 days, or three of 10 days each, for example.

Find out more about the functionality of delay steps in our Knowledge Base article.

How to check a workflow status

In the “History” tab, you’ll find a list of all the executions in your automated workflows. To find a specific execution, you can filter by:

  • Workflow name

  • Time period

  • Status

  • User that triggered the workflow

Beside each execution, there’s a symbol that informs you of its status:

  • A green circle containing a check mark shows the execution is working correctly

  • A purple circle shows the execution is pending

  • A red circle containing a white cross shows the execution is not working

This new functionality enables you to double-check all your workflows are performing correctly and troubleshoot the problem if one isn’t.
