In this month’s Pipedrive Updates article, we share our latest State of Sales report, based on what you told us at the end of last year. There’s also a couple of updates, including a new bulk actions progress bar, the ability to put emojis in your pipeline stage names and the option to check your source data in the dashboard view.
Pipedrive State of Sales 2020-2021
At the end of last year, we asked our customers, as well as many other sales professionals and business owners, about their experiences in 2020 and expectations for 2021.
Over 1,700 people responded to tell us how they had adapted to a year in the grip of a pandemic.

Some changes to improve your Pipedrive experience
We’ve made some updates to Pipedrive to make it easier for you to find the information you need and track your progress.
Your bulk actions won’t be applied instantaneously anymore
Now you’ll be able to track how your changes are doing with a progress bar. For example, if you choose to delete a list of actions, the bulk action progress bar will show you how many have been deleted and how many remain.
The following entry types have been affected:
You can now check your source data right from the dashboard view
There’s no need to go to the detail view if you want to check your source data while you’re viewing a dashboard
Say you are looking at a report that displays your deal revenue per month and want to find what deals contributed to the income total in May. You can just click on the ‘May’ bar and a chart showing fields such as value, owner and pipeline will appear.
In order to keep your data secure, this feature doesn’t appear on publicly shared dashboards outside of your Pipedrive account.
Add emojis to the names of your pipeline stages
We’ve provided you with a new way to identify your pipeline stages, as you can now add emojis to their names.
We know many of our users need to absorb data quickly and have many pipeline stages to check. By assigning emojis to different stages, you can find them more easily and make them more descriptive for your team.
After all, you know what they say: A picture is worth a thousand words.
You can add emojis to existing pipeline stages or to new ones when you create them. If you’re on Pipedrive’s mobile app, you can use the emoji keyboard to add emojis, while desktop Pipedrive users can copy and paste them from other sites and sources.
