In Case you Missed It... Pipedrive Updates December 2020

Pipedrive shared some big news last month: Vista Equity Partners made a majority investment in our company. We’ve also updated one of our exciting new features by adding eSignatures to Sales Docs, as well as integrations with OneDrive and SharePoint. Meanwhile, revenue forecast reports have been added to Insights for Professional users and above.

Vista Equity Partners makes majority investment in Pipedrive

If you hadn’t seen it already, we’re excited to announce that market-leading investment firm Vista Equity Partners has made a majority investment in Pipedrive.

Vista Equity Partners is a leading global investment firm with more than $58 billion in cumulative capital commitments. The firm invests exclusively in software, data and technology-enabled businesses, bringing an approach that prioritizes creating enduring market value for the benefit of its global ecosystem of investors, companies, customers and employees.

Vista Equity Partners’ investment, as well as its partnership with Pipedrive, will further fuel our ongoing expansion and enable us to continue building our product portfolio, so that we can offer solutions to more customers in new markets.

If you have any questions about what the investment means for you, check out our FAQs article for customers.

eSignatures and integrations with leading cloud storage service platforms added to Sales Docs

When we launched Sales Docs in July, it was only the first step in the journey of our exciting new feature.

Sales Docs (which is available to users on the Advanced, Professional and Enterprise plans) enables you to send trackable quotes, proposals and contracts from Pipedrive.

You can create templates that automatically pull in Pipedrive fields data to cut down on manual work and know when your sales documents are opened so you can follow up and close deals faster.

When originally launched Sales Docs had an integration with Google Drive. Now it integrates with two more leading cloud storage service platforms: OneDrive and SharePoint.

We’ve also added eSignatures, which is available to Professional and Enterprise users.

With eSignatures, you can get documents signed using Pipedrive, without needing extra software or having to print and scan copies. eSignatures is currently in Beta.

Pipedrive users who have permission to view the related deal can:

  • Send a signature request to anyone using their email address, even if they’re not a Pipedrive contact
  • Request up to 10 people’s signatures on a document
  • Check who has signed the document and receive email notifications every time someone adds their signature
  • Send reminders to people who are yet to sign the document
  • Cancel the signing process if necessary
  • Be sure that the signed document is sent to all participants and is stored and accessible on Pipedrive

You can read all about Sales Docs and eSignatures in our blog article.

Professional and Enterprise users can now access their revenue forecast report in Insights

If you’ve set the expected close date on your deals, you’ll now be able to see cumulative and non-cumulative reports for your forecasted revenue in Insights. You can also use deal or stage probability to apply weighted values for super-accurate forecasts.
